FREE Internet Marketing Seminar

On April 3, 2008, we are presenting a free internet marketing seminar. It is our first.

I figure if we show enough people that we know what we are talking about, and give great content, even if we tell them everything they need to know about blogging and using squidoo and building links, maybe they will realize how much work it is and hire the professionals (us).

If you are reading this and live in Southern California, you are welcome to attend, I just need you to RSVP to Barry at (951) 212-4080. Scarcity, scarcity - but really, there are only 58 seats. Grab one now!

You can find out more information and join our VIP list here:

CHARO 2008 Business EXPO

Yesterday Barry and I were at the CHARO 2008 Business EXPO. Barry was on a marketing panel and that gave us a lot of exposure. People kept dropping by our booth all day and we actually got several leads. All in all, it was a very good day and I got out of the house and out from behind my computer. Rock on!

Is Traditional Marketing Dead?

Gaping Void's Hugh McCleod discusses social objects and how social gestures beget social objects. Traditional marketing and "messages" are on their way out. It is all about the relationship now. Watch this interview on FastCompany.TV here.

AngryJournalist.com - Know your market

There is a new site, recently launched called AngryJournalist.com.

It is a place a guy named Kiyoshi Martinez set up for Journalists to vent their anger and frustration anonymously and to the whole world. I worked in editorial graphics at a newspaper for 7 years. I know what these guys are talking about.

My personal angst has faded, but talk about a great way to get into the minds of the people you are sending your press releases to, hoping to get published. They are people just like us. We should treat them that way. Be reasonable. Do most of the work for them. Make your story a no-brainer to print. Make it exciting and newsworthy. We hear these things all the time, but angryjournalist.com really brings the point home.

What are we supposed to do? Know our market? They are our market when we are trying to get information about our company published. Let's understand them, step in their shoes and speak to them like they should be spoken to. They are the keepers of the gate. How are you going to get in?

Two new pages on the ol' web site

I just wanted to let you know that we have just posted two new pages on our web site. I thought they might be of interest to you. They are both about Great ways to market your business on the internet.

Some strategies I refer to as "Ninja" because they are stealth strategies. But these are bedrock strategies. I think of these and I see a solid granite bank. Some business build their whole online presence around these strategies.

They are Link building:

And Marketing through article distribution:

Frank Kern's Mass Control Fiasco

Did I say "Fiasco?" I am sorry. I meant "Bonanza." Frank Kern's Mass Control Bonanza.

I am so late writing about this. It has been over a month since I started the course and it is absolutely fantastic. A gentleman (read: surfer dude that tries to look lazy, but I know he is working his butt off) named Frank Kern launched a class in early February. He is the guy behind the stompernet launch and several others including pipeline profits. They all made over a million dollars within the first week of launching. I watched stompernet happen and was captivated. It was so good, but I didn't have a penny to buy that class.

When I heard that Frank was the guy behind the stompernet launch, I knew I just had to know what he knows and I had to get the course. Luckily, I had the cash this time to get it. (I still had to take the three payment option). Frank broke the class down into 4 modules that were taught over 4 weeks. There is a mountain of content and he is teaching things I have never heard before. Usually with stuff like this, you get recycled information that has been around forever, but not this time.

Mass Control is extremely useful. I haven't made any money directly from it yet, but my mailing list is growing, my web site functions better, I am working on a digital product - several actually, and I have helped a few of our clients improve their campaigns using information I have learned from Frank. I am much more confident when I am making presentations, now because I have my "Character" and "Story" together. So, I guess I have made money from what I have learned because my advice to my clients is better and they pay me. Cool.

I am available to consult and assist anyone that needs help with their online marketing. I have a "4-day cashflow machine" that you might have heard of from other bloggers. It has made thousands of dollars for, I don't know, 30-40 people since the start of the course (and they are just getting a small percentage of the money being generated). If you have an interest list and you sell a product that you could discount in order to make a truck load of sales in 4 days, contact me. You can use the contact form on our web site.
